You hold the reins
Your character never acts, speaks, thinks, or decides without you. The Dungeon Master can portray danger, opportunity, and reaction, but it stops when the next meaningful choice belongs to you.

The promise
A text role-playing game is an interactive story you play by reading, typing, and using a few helpful buttons to formulate your actions. Think of it as creating your own lived in book that grows as you interact and remembers what matters: you create a character, explore an imagined world, and choose what your character tries to do. AI helps the world respond naturally to choices written in your own words, while the game’s rules decide what is possible, what succeeds, and what changes. It is still a game—with challenges, consequences, and progress—not just a conversation with a chatbot.

II
Important facts survive the scene: promises, discoveries, injuries, equipment, setbacks, and victories. Later moments build on established history instead of quietly resetting it.
III
NPCs remember what they know and how you have treated them. Trust, tension, loyalty, and rivalry can grow through repeated encounters—not vanish when a conversation ends.
IV
Currency, health conditions, experience, levels, possessions, and other mechanical facts follow strict rules. The Dungeon Master can dramatize the result, but cannot forget a cost, erase an injury, grant progress because it suits the scene, or narrate a genuine failure into success.
